Florence: Man arrested for aggravated assault and mistreatment of ex-spouse.

On the evening of Tuesday 25 November 2025, Carabinieri of the Florence Radiomobile Unit they arrested a man resident in Mugello, investigated for aggravated injuries e abuse in the family to the detriment of the ex-spouse.

The reconstruction of the facts

According to what has been reconstructed so far, the man would have reached his ex-wife in via Solferino, after having convinced her to meet him under some pretext. At the sight of the woman, he would have attacked from behind with a knife, hitting her repeatedly in the face.

Le screams of the victim they would have attracted the attention of some passers-by, who would have intervened and put the attacker to flight.

The woman was immediately assisted by medical personnel and transported to theSanta Maria Nuova Hospital.

Shortly after, the man - still armed - was reportedly spotted in via il Prato by a patrol of the Mobile Radio Unit.
With the support of Municipal police, the soldiers would have disarmed and blocked him.

Immediate investigations would have revealed a picture of previous physical and psychological violence, dating back to a period that began approximately a year earlier and which had already been the subject of a complaint subsequently withdrawn by the victim.

The knife used in the attack was seized.

The man, at the end of the ritual formalities, was conducted at the Sollicciano prison in Florence, available to the Judicial Authority.
