Green economy. Emilia-Romagna Region, protagonist at Key Energy 2025: on display the opportunities and climate policies
Carbon neutrality for the energy transition and the development of Energy Communities; the opportunities of hydrogen in Emilia-Romagna; the potential of agrivoltaics and new financial instruments to support the energy transition. And then the planning of energy efficiency of the building stock to support cities.
They are some of the temi that the Emilia Romagna region submit to 18th edition of KEY – The Energy Transition, from 5th to 7th March at Fiera di Rimini, a European event dedicated to technologies, services and integrated solutions for energy efficiency and renewable energy in Italy and the Mediterranean basin.
Tomorrow, at theinaugurazione, expected at 12 hours, will intervene, with the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, the president of the Region, Michael de Pascale, the vice president, Vincent Colla.
A partner of Key Energy for years, the Region will be protagonist of the kermesse with a dense series of meetings organized in the 002 stand within the South Hall Pavilion, where it will be possible to obtain all the information on regional policies and projects.
“We set challenging goals for environmental sustainability – they say by pascale e Glue - committing to accelerate the ecological transition to reach carbon neutrality before 2050 and switch to clean and renewable energy by 2035.
These are key objectives in line with our Pact for Work and Climate. We are aware that the energy transition is not just a challenge but a collective call towards a sustainable future”.
Il Regional Energy Plan (financed with public resources for over 4,5 billion euros) with its implementation programs defines in Emilia Romagna policies and actions aimed at energy saving, efficient use of energy in different sectors and production from renewable sources, as well as energy rationalisation in the transport sector.
Through i European funds and, in particular, the Regional ERDF programme, the Region pays particular attention to environmental sustainability and the energy transition, with cross-cutting interventions and investments, on which two of the priority lines of intervention are concentrated.
One through a program, with an investment of 303 million euros, which aims to promote energy efficiency, increase the use of renewable sources, protect natural resources and strengthen the resilience of the territory to climate change.
A further important element is represented by the programs related to sustainable mobility and air quality, which with its 40 million euros, aims to reduce emissions in Po Valley Basin through the enhancement of sustainable public transport, cycle-pedestrian mobility and the electrification of transport systems.
