Ragusa: the Day against bullying and cyberbullying kicks off with the short film “La Finestra”.

On February 7, the tour of the short film “La Finestra” will start in the schools of Ragusa to raise awareness among young people on the topic of bullying and cyberbullying.

Il 7 February it is celebrated Anti-bullying and cyberbullying day, a growing phenomenon among young people and the very young.

Established in 2017 on the initiative of MIUR, this day aims to sensitize and promote tools for the prevention of violent and bullying behavior.

On this occasion, in the schools of Ragusa the tour will start short film “The Window”, Directed by Salvatore Massari, Created by Pepper Busacca, scripted by Michael Arezzo, with music by Peppe Arezzo and produced by Patron, with the patronage ofDepartment of Public Education of the Municipality of Ragusa and the collaboration ofBerlinguer Comprehensive Institute of Ragusa.

The short was presented last 29th November al Lumière Cinema in Ragusa to the educational community, in the presence of the Mayor Peppe Cassì,Councilor for Education Catia Pasta and Councilor for Social Services Elvira Adamo.

A message from the boys for the boys

The students of the first cinematography workshop “Ciak… the shorts” participated in the making of the short film both as actors That like runners. Now they themselves will be the ones to meet peers in schools, becoming ambassadors of the fight against bullying.

“La Finestra is a project made by kids for kids, to communicate a positive message to their peers”, stated theCouncilor for Public Education, Catia Pasta.

The preview was a success great interest and numerous screening requests by educational institutions. The project aims to sensitize students through real stories, easily recognizable, with a note of hope.

The tour will start fromBerlinguer Comprehensive Institute with two screenings and debates for students the 7 and 10 February. Other schools will follow, according to a timetable agreed with the school leaders.
