Modica: they rob a foreigner and break down the front door of his home with a nutcracker, two brothers under house arrest.

The military personnel of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Modica Company, have arrested, in execution of a precautionary measure that ordered house arrest, issued by the court of Ragusa, at the request of the Iblea Public Prosecutor's Office, two young brothers, respectively a 22 year old and a 19 year old, residents of the city of Modica, single and unemployed, with numerous specific precedents for crimes against the person and in the context of drug dealing.

In May, the two criminals committed an aggravated robbery against a foreigner from whom they stole the sum of 130 euros.

Specifically, the two young people, having arrived at the victim's home, broke down the entrance door of his home and, with the use of a hat, caused him injuries which required the intervention of healthcare personnel.

The military, from the early stages, worked to ensure that the exact dynamics of the events could be reconstructed, also trying to trace the route used by the attackers to escape following the completion of the robbery.

The operatives were able to reconstruct exactly the chronological sequence of the movements of the two attackers, so much so that they reported to the Judicial Authority with the indication of the exact succession of events, especially thanks to the help of the various video surveillance systems that insist on the city streets of the County territory.

The criminal aggravation presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Ragusa against the two individuals of particular operational interest has left no doubts about the need to issue the precautionary measure of house arrest for both.

The Modica Police Force, during this summer period, characterized by the large influx of tourists in the County, will continue to carry out specific patrolling services so that visitors can feel entitled to freely enjoy the scenic and artistic beauties of the city and, above all, without fear of being a victim of the recklessness of others.
