Despite this step backwards by the girl, evidently the result of the man's psychological pressure, the intimidating acts have not ended but have become routine: in fact the man started waiting for the young woman at her place of work and her home, in an attempt to invite her to spend time together. The aunt's interference, given the obvious alteration in her niece's life habits, which she has started to no longer leave the house for fear of meeting the man, they meant that she herself became the further victim of the stalker's prevaricating will.
