Ispica, two arrests by the Carabinieri for drugs and violations of the prohibition on approaching the mother.

It was a busy weekend for the Carabinieri of the Ispica Station who, among the various judicial police services carried out in the territory of competence, arrested two people within their jurisdiction who were causing harm to public order in the city.

The first recipient of the measure restricting his personal freedom is a 22-year-old Gambian, resident in Ispica, single, agricultural laborer, already known to the police.

The young man was arrested following a targeted search of his home and its appurtenances, where a quantity of narcotic substances equal to 120 grams of hashish and 6 grams of marijuana were found, substances divided into a considerable quantity of doses, as well as material useful for packaging and cutting.

Following the seizure of the said substance, the interested party was subjected to the measure of house arrest at his home, pending the direct trial.

The control of the territory by the Ispica station also allowed the acquisition of the elements necessary to request the judicial authorities to issue an appropriate precautionary measure against a 40-year-old, still resident in Ispica, single, with a criminal record, without any occupation, on whom there was a pending order prohibiting him from approaching his mother, with the application of an electronic bracelet; a measure completely ignored by the man several times, with the relative tampering with the device to evade checks by the police forces.

As the Office requested the aggravation of this prescription, the precautionary measure of house arrest was executed in place of the one with which he was burdened.

The ability of the personnel of the Arma to always have their finger on the pulse of what is happening in the territory, has resulted in the perception and relative contrast of those bullying behaviors aimed at making the serenity of the Ispica community unstable.
