The Carabinieri of the Santa Croce Camerina station have reported on the loose a 33 year old Tunisian citizen resident in Ragusa, responsible for a theft inside a house of the seaside resort of Punta Braccetto, owned by a 60 year old from Comiso.
The 33-year-old had sneaked into the man's holiday home last week, probably unaware of the presence of a video surveillance system installed specifically by the owner to protect his property, already the target of a similar theft in another past circumstance. From the images viewed by the Carabinieri, the soldiers arrived atidentification of the person responsible who, during a specially ordered search, was found still in possession of the burglary tools used to break into the external fixtures of the house, as well as of the same stolen goods stolen, namely some jewelry and a sum of cash of about a thousand euros, all immediately returned to the rightful owner. The young foreigner, who until now had no criminal record, was therefore reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Ragusa for Theft aggravated.
