Vittoria, a man who snatches an elderly woman's purse and drags her to the ground: 44-year-old arrested for aggravated robbery

I Carabinieri of the Vittoria station and NOR – Mobile Radio Rate have arrested in flagrante delicto un 44-year-old from Vittoria, seriously suspected of being responsible for a aggravated robbery to the detriment of aelderly womanThe intervention was triggered in Alpine Hunters Street, following a report received by the Unique Emergency Number 112, which indicated the presence of an elderly woman lying on the ground in pain.

According to the reconstruction, the victim had just been attacked and robbed by an individual who, in an attempt to steal her bag, had it dragged, causing her to fall violently onto the asphalt before fleeing. Upon arriving on the scene, the military immediately requested the intervention of a118 ambulance to provide assistance to the elderly woman, while they gathered the first information on the incident and a brief description of the author of the crime, starting the investigation immediately.

The alleged perpetrator was traced a few hundred meters away from the place of the robbery, blocked and led to barracks. Meanwhile the victim was transported to theGuzzardi Hospital in Vittoria, where she was hospitalized in the Orthopedics department because of one femur fracture reported in the fall.

Following further investigations, the Carabinieri have Man arrested for aggravated robbery. At the disposal of Public Prosecutor on duty at the Ragusa Public Prosecutor's Office, the 44-year-old was placed under arrest pending the validation hearing. At the next hearing, thearrest was validated and Judge has ordered the suspect to house arrest with the application of an electronic bracelet.
