Pozzallo: two arrests flagrantly for drug dealing.

The soldiers of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit and of the Pozzallo Station, continuing their ordinary activity to combat drug dealing in the Pozzallo nightlife area, proceeded to arrest two local young people in flagrante delicto, respectively a 30-year-old and a 21 years old.

Both young people were faces known to the operators given the police records against them.

Furthermore, the 21-year-old was also responsible for violating the provision that allowed him to be subjected to the measure of probation with community service and the obligation to remain at his parents' home, prescriptions violated and contested by the military personnel who intervened.

The drug dealing activity was carried out near the seafront of the seaside city which during this period, given the large influx of young people and tourists, underwent a considerable demographic increase, becoming a meeting place where drug consumption underwent a significant increase.

The young people were found in the complex in possession of 3 grams of cocaine, 150 grams of hashish and 20 grams of marijuana, a quantity divided into more than 50 doses, numerous knives for cutting the narcotic, material suitable for packaging the substance, as well as a scale of precision, perfectly functional, and the sum of one thousand euros in cash believed to be the proceeds of the criminal activity since it was found in the same hiding places where the substance had been hidden.

All the material was seized by the operating military.

The arrested, by order of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Ragusa, were placed under house arrest.

The Carabinieri will continue checks on the area in view of the hottest months of the summer season, so that citizens can enjoy the beauty of the place and live in a peaceful urban environment.
