Soncino, Cremona: 22-year-old driver found in possession of 94 doses of cocaine

A patrol of the Crema Radiomobile, during a territorial control, noticed a car coming from the province of Bergamo that was heading towards Soncino. The soldiers became suspicious and decided to proceed with the check, following the car and ordering the driver to pull over. Initially the driver slowed down, then continued on his way in an attempt to escape: immediately afterwards the car, having entered a farmland, hit a round bale.

Having abandoned the car, the driver attempts to escape into a nearby cornfield but is stopped shortly after. In the fanny pack he was carrying, some tin foil wrappers were found containing a total of 94 doses of cocaine, pre-packaged and ready for sale.

The man had no documents and was declared under arrest and accompanied to the Crema barracks where he was identified by photo identification.. Subsequent checks on the car revealed that the vehicle had been rented by a front man.

The 22-year-old was then taken to Cremona prison to await the hearing which concluded with the validation of the act, his being subjected to the measure of the obligation to sign, the postponement of the hearing and his immediate release. The 22-year-old was also administratively fined for driving without a license and for failing to comply with a stop sign.
