Sigh: Involved in a road accident but was drunk, 51-year-old reported
The Carabinieri of the Scandolara Ravara Station have a 51-year-old man was reported for drunk driving after having had a road accident in the municipality of Sospiro on the evening of October 18th. That day, the patrol of the Scandolara Ravara Station had been sent to the Longardore hamlet of the municipality of Sospiro, along the SP 27, because a road accident between two cars had been reported, with one injured.
And they already found the 118 and Fire Brigade teams on site carrying out the rescue. They found that two vehicles were involved, one that was travelling from Pieve San Giacomo towards Cremona and which, after the impact, had ended its journey in a canal adjacent to the carriageway and the other, which was travelling in the opposite direction, which had impacted against the guard rail.
The two drivers were identified and one of them, the 51-year-old, was in altered psycho-physical conditions due to alcohol abuse. They verified that the 51-year-old was swerving visibly while driving, occupying the opposite lane. The two drivers had suffered minor injuries and bruises and were both taken to the emergency room at Cremona hospital with a green code for treatment. Once the surveys were completed, the military they had gone to the hospital in Cremona where, taking into account the dynamics of the road accident, they had asked the health workers to carry out clinical tests on them to verify whether they were under the influence of alcohol or taking drugs.
And through the results of these analyses it emerged that the 51-year-old had drunk more than permitted. In fact, the test established an alcohol level of over 1,00 g/l, double the maximum limit established by law. Having received medical confirmation of his altered psychophysical state while driving and taking into account the aggravating circumstance of having caused a road accident, he was reported to the judicial authorities and his license was withdrawn.
