Cremona: attempts to steal from a supermarket, man reported for illegal possession of a weapon
The Carabinieri of the Cremona Radiomobile Section reported a 52-year-old man, with a criminal record, for illegal possession of a cutting weapon.
The military, on the afternoon of February 9, intervened at a supermarket in the city alerted by a security guard who had reported a suspicious person in the aisles of the store, probably intent on stealing various items. However, the man, seeing himself discovered, abandoned all the stolen goods and headed for the exit of the market, where he was stopped by the Carabinieri who promptly intervened.
During the subsequent investigations, the man, visibly under the influence of alcohol, was searched and found in possession of a 25 cm long knife and, therefore, reported for the illegal possession of objects capable of causing harm. The 52-year-old was also fined for drunkenness, given his state of intoxication in a public place.
