Cremona: the Highway Police reported a person who, after stealing a car, was involved in a road accident.
The patrol of the Casalmaggiore Detachment on duty in the evening shift was sent to a road accident with injuries in the Persichello area (municipality of Persico Dosimo).
The officers verified the involvement of two vehicles, a Fiat Panda and an Audi.
The driver of the Fiat Panda, when the patrol arrived on site, had no documents and was in the ambulance, waiting to be transferred to the hospital.
During the investigation of the accident, the owner of the Fiat Panda arrived on site and reported to the patrol that the car had been stolen shortly before by unknown persons in the area where she lived and that, therefore, she intended to file a complaint.
Subsequently, at the Cremona hospital, the highway patrol, in collaboration with personnel from the Cremona Police Headquarters, managed to identify the driver of the Panda without documents.
This individual, of Moroccan origin, was found to be resident in Cremona and, following checks carried out, was found to be without a driving licence as he had never obtained one.
While the injured man was being moved for medical operations, a small bag containing 7 grams of a narcotic substance such as hashish fell from his jacket.
He then went to the hospital to check whether the man was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the collision.
At the end of the intervention, the subject was reported for the violation of art. 75 dpr 309/90 with related seizure of the narcotic substance found and for the theft of the car.
