Cremona, the Carabinieri have arrested a man believed to be responsible for resisting a public official. Two other men manage to escape

In recent days, the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Cremona have intensified controls on the territory in order to implement in an increasingly effective manner the action of prevention and contrast to widespread illegal phenomena such as drug dealing, predatory crimes and disturbance of public peace.. In fact, The Carabinieri of the Cremona Radiomobile Section arrested a 31-year-old man, resident in the province of Cremona, for resisting a public official Milano and with a criminal record, also reported for driving without a license, while two other men managed to escape. They probably wanted to commit a theft or a scam near a shopping center, but they were intercepted by the Carabinieri before they could act.

The story begins on the morning of October 16th when, around 11.00, the Carabinieri of the Cremona Radiomobile were in the underground parking lot of the shopping centre CremonaPo to prevent thefts and scams and noticed a car, a Seat, with three people on board. The driver, at the sight of the patrol, without a valid reason, began to accelerate to reach the exit ramp. The car left the parking lots and the patrol chased them. The vehicle headed at full speed towards Picenengo Street and then in Sixth Street. Here, he drove the wrong way around the roundabout at least five times, forcing other road users to move to the sidelines to avoid a collision, then the fleeing vehicle took Sixth Street and drove some stretches of road in the wrong direction, until he returned towards Via delle Industrie, always travelling at high speed and risking rear-end collisions and head-on accidents. At the roundabout with Via delle Industrie he took the overpass of the SP 10 in the wrong direction, turning right and driving up the ramp in the wrong direction until you reach the SP 10. He took this road in the right direction until the roundabout. Castelleon Streetand where they got stuck in traffic and were forced to stop their escape behind columns of cars.

At that point, the three got out of their vehicle and started running in different directions, among the cars that were passing on the very busy roadThe soldiers got out of the service car and reached and blocked the driver of the fleeing vehicle who, in the meantime, had traveled a few dozen meters, while the other two managed to escape and even subsequent searches did not allow them to be found.

The man, identified as 31 years old, and his vehicle were searched without finding anything useful. He was arrested for resisting a public official for having carried out dangerous and risky maneuvers during the escape in the car and was held in the security rooms of the Santa Lucia barracks until the morning of October 17, when the arrest was validated and the precautionary measure of custody in prison was ordered against him and the hearing was postponed to next November 28.

The 31-year-old was also reported for driving without a license because he is a repeat offender. Indeed, a Milano, in May 2023, had been administratively sanctioned for the same reason while, in this circumstance, being the second case in the last two years, he was reported.

Furthermore, the vehicle he was using, registered to another person, was uninsured and was subjected to administrative seizure. The man was also issued with several fines for violations of the highway code following the serious infractions he committed.
