On Saturday evening, the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Cremona controlled, from 18.00pm to midnight, the squares and streets of the historic centre, in particular Piazza Roma, Piazza Lodi, Piazza Marconi and the surrounding streets, using two patrols, carrying out checks on the people present, in particular those who were lounging on the benches and drinking alcohol.

In the first case, in a street in the centre, a patrol stopped a 49 year old man, a criminal and homeless man, caught by the military rummaging around inside a car. When he saw the Carabinieri service vehicle he tried to move away, but was reached and blocked. The 49-year-old was already well known for other criminal cases and the military found that the car he had gotten out of was not his property and that he had stolen some coins. He was searched and in a fanny pack he had two utility knives and a medium-sized folding knife, which he was unable to justify his possession of and which were seized. The owner of the vehicle confirmed that the man had attempted to steal and the 49-year-old was reported for attempted aggravated theft and possession of objects capable of causing offence.
Instead, another patrol, around 22.00pm, stopped and checked a man in Piazza Roma 27enne, with a police record, who had drank and was in an altered state, creating disturbance. It was fined for drunkenness.
