Cremona: Info-investigative activity, fugitive arrested

The Carabinieri of the Cremona Company, at the end of a complex info-investigative activity carried out in collaboration with the Service for International Police Cooperation, They put an end to the fugitive status of a Brazilian citizen who was the target of an arrest warrant issued by the Brazilian authorities and extended internationally, wanted because he was sentenced by the Court of San Paolo (Brazil) to sentence of 8 years and 2 months in prison for being responsible for the crimes of sexual violence and injury committed in August 2018 in Brazil against a woman.

The Carabinieri, having received news of the presence of the wanted man in the area between Ostiano and Gabbioneta Binanuova, have started a series of investigations aimed at tracking him down. The efforts were rewarded with the capture of the wanted manwhich was tracked down in the municipality of Gabbioneta Binanuova where he lived with his partner in an apartment and worked for a company in a neighboring province.

The man was taken to Cremona prison where he remains at the disposal of the Attorney General's Office at the Court of Appeal of Brescia, which will have to decide on the extradition requested by Brazil.
