Crema: the Carabinieri of the Camisano station have reported a man believed responsible for an attempted theft at the hypermarket.

The Carabinieri of the Camisano station have reported a 40-year-old man, with a police record and without a fixed address, held responsible for an attempted aggravated theft committed at the Gran Rondò shopping centre.

The man was identified and stopped by the security staff of the Iper supermarket as he passed the barrier without paying for some items of clothing.
The soldiers from the Camisano station intervened at the request of the supermarket security staff because the 40-year-old had been seen entering and, considering him suspicious, they had followed him along the aisles of the supermarket and had seen that he had a strange attitude because he was constantly looking around.

Then, from the sales counters in the designated area, he took some clothes and entered the testing booths.

He had gone out and had no clothes in his hands. He had immediately headed towards the exit without any purchases, but he had been stopped and was found in possession of items of clothing hidden in a backpack, from which he had torn off the price tags. The security stopped him just as he passed the checkouts, before he walked away into the corridor of the shopping mall.

The soldiers who intervened, having learned what had happened shortly before, recovered the clothes, worth over 100 euros, and returned them to the manager of the business, while the 40-year-old was accompanied to the barracks in Crema and was reported for attempted aggravated theft.

Crema: i Carabinieri della Stazione di Camisano hanno denunciato un uomo ritenuto responsabile di un tentato furto all’Iper.
