Crema: checkpoints and surveillance of nightlife areas, two licenses withdrawn

On Sunday 27 October the Carabinieri of the Crema Company carried out a coordinated service across a wide area which involved the inhabited centres of Cream, Bagnolo Cremasco, Spino d'Adda and Pandino with the use of three patrols of the Radiomobile Unit. The objectives of the service were the protection of public order and safety through the prevention and fight against crimes and conduct connected with the phenomena of social degradation and youth deviance.

From midnight to 06.00 am that day, the patrols continuously checked the streets, squares, gardens and meeting places of the urban centres under observation, also carrying out numerous checkpoints at the main traffic junctions and flying checks on cars with suspicious persons on board.

They have been identified 48 people, some of which are of operational interest because they already have previous police records against them, and Checks conducted on 32 vehicles. One person was reported and one was administratively fined for drunk driving.

The person reported is a 43 year old woman, with a criminal record. At around 02.45 some citizens reported to the Crema operations centre that a car was on a stretch of the SP 415 from Vaiano Cremasco to Bagnolo Cremasco. The car was intercepted by a Radiomobile patrol after it had already resumed its regular route and the military the driver identified, finding that the woman was very agitated and presented obvious symptoms of alcohol abuse impairment. Subjected to the breathalyser test, it showed a value of approximately 2,10 g/l, more than four times the permitted value. Having confirmed his state of psychophysical alteration while driving, the Carabinieri have reported the woman to the judicial authority and his license was immediately revoked.

Meanwhile, on the road Milano in Crema, another patrol checked a car whose driver had certainly consumed alcoholic substancesThe breathalyzer test showed a value of approximately 0,55 g/l, beyond the permitted limit. So, the Carabinieri have it administratively sanctioned e his license was immediately revoked.
