Cremona: A minor was given a ban from prison out of context: he had a gun without a red cap during the celebrations for Cremonese's promotion.

The Cremona State Police issued a DASPO out of context against a minor arrested with a gun without a red cap. during the celebrations for the promotion of Cremonese.

In particular, during the celebrations for the historical US Cremonese's promotion to Serie A, which occurred on the evening of June 2nd in Piazza del Comune, an incident threatened to shatter the atmosphere of joy and popular participation. Among the crowd, which also included numerous families with children, a young man was noticed, while he was in the company of other subjects, dto a DIGOS patrol on duty to ensure public order, while maintaining a suspicious attitude.

Thanks to the quick intuition and the notable operational experience of the agents, who have been carefully following the evolution of the local fan scene for some time, it was possible to intercept and control the subject, discovering how he had carefully hidden in his clothes a blank pistol without the required red cap, making it, for all intents and purposes, indistinguishable from a real gun.

The operators' actions prevented the object's presence from generating alarm or creating dangerous and panic situations among the crowd. The young man was immediately identified and reported at liberty for the crime provided for by art. 4 of Law 110/1975, while the weapon was seized.

Furthermore, at the conclusion of the investigation conducted by the Anti-Crime Division of the Police Headquarters, A DASPO (Detention Order) order, known as an "out-of-context" order, was issued against the minor. This measure, provided for by Article 6, paragraph 1, letter C of Law 401/1989, is applied very selectively and with extreme caution, especially when it concerns minors.

This is, in fact, an exceptional measure, rarely adopted nationwide, demonstrating the particular gravity of the act—which also occurred during a festive occasion, in the heart of the historic center, and in the presence of a large number of people, including many families.

The measure, which lasts for one year, bans the young man from accessing venues where sporting events are held throughout the country. The aim of the measure is to prevent future dangerous behavior and ensure the smooth running of sporting events.
