Cremona: Carabinieri conduct extraordinary checks, reports of drug trafficking and tax evasion.

Control activities by the Carabinieri of the Milazzo Company who, yesterday evening, prepared a extraordinary service with patrols in the Mamertine center, even during the night hours, aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens and preventing and repressing crimes in general, in particular drug trafficking and traffic violations, with attention to drunk driving.

• Over 180 vehicles and 315 people checked.
  Several violations of the Highway Code were contested for dangerous behavior such as failure to use helmets and seat belts e use of cell phone while driving. 35 points deducted from driving licences e 7 vehicles seized.
• Four people reported to the Judicial Authority for driving under the influence and four others were denounced in various capacities for evasion and for illegal carrying of objects capable of offending.

On the anti-drug front:

• An individual reported for possession of drugs with intent to sell.

• Three people reported to the Prefecture of Messina as hirers, found in possession of hashish, marijuana and crackAll the narcotic substance was seized and sent to the Carabinieri of the RIS of Messina for laboratory analyses.
