Carabinieri Companies of Cremona and Crema: Major Gabriele Schiaffini and Captain Armando Laviola are the new commanders

Il Major Gabriele Schiaffini and Captain Armando Laviola they are the new commanders of the Carabinieri Companies of Cremona and Crema.

Major Gabriele Schiaffini, the new commander of the Company of Cremona, comes from Lodi, where he served as Company Commander. Originally from Brescia, 42 years, graduated in 2004 in Computer Science at the University of Verona and in 2017 in Internal and External Security Sciences at the University of Rome.

He was Platoon Commander of the 3rd Carabinieri Regiment “Lombardy” a Milano, a department preparatory to the management of public order and large demonstrations, participating, among others, in the security operations in Val di Susa and those of the “Turin 2006” Winter Olympics.

In 2008 he was transferred to the 2nd Mobile Brigade of Livorno and, after having obtained the qualification of military paratrooper, he served until 2011 at the Training Center, a training unit of the force which has the aim of training soldiers before they face missions abroad. The Officer has also served abroad, first in Lebanon in 2011 and then in Kosovo in 2016.

Before joining the Command of the Cremona Company he also served in Verona, in a staff role at the Provincial Command, then commanded the Carabinieri Company of Viadana (Mantua) from 2017 to 2021 and subsequently that of Lodi from the 2021 2024.

Replaces Lieutenant Colonel Carlo Pessini transferred to the 3rd Carabinieri Regiment “Lombardia”.

Captain Armando Laviola, the new commander of the Company of Crema, Has 35 years and is originally from La Spezia. He comes from the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Asti where for the last two years he has held the position of Commander of the Investigative Unit.

Graduated in Law and Social Security Sciences, former Marshal of the Arma with various roles in the province of Como, in 2016 he began his career as an Officer by attending the 57th Application Course at the Officers' School in Rome.

From 2017 to 2022 he held the position of Commander of the Operational and Mobile Radio Unit of the Co Companyrsico (MI). He is married to Mrs. Serena and has a son named Christian. He took up his new position in the province on September 9th.

Replaces Major Giovanni Meriano transferred to the command of the Belluno Company.

The two officers were received by the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Cremona, Colonel Paolo Sambataro, who in welcoming them to the Cremona area expressed his best wishes for a serene and fruitful work, underlining the importance that both of them know how to be attentive readers and perceptive interpreters of the varied dynamics characterizing their respective territories, in order to shape the resources available to orient them effectively along the lines of primary interest, with a view to carrying out a service that adheres to the needs and expectations of the communities for the achievement of the institutional objectives.

In these days the newly arrived Company Commanders will continue their institutional presentation visits, which have already allowed them to start the first contacts with the highest provincial Authorities.
