The Christmas atmosphere has borne fruit in the city of Campobasso and the small recipients of the gifts are grateful
Campobasso, proud of the success of the solidarity initiative "A suspended toy".
In conjunction with the Epiphany and the subsequent end of the Christmas holiday period, the Municipality of Campobasso has begun, in recent days, the distribution of the gifts collected through the“A suspended toy” initiative, activated during the Christmas period by the Municipality of Campobasso itself, through the Departments of Productive Activities and Social Policies. The initiative, of an explicitly supportive nature and now in its second edition, had the objective of allow all children, including those whose families are in difficult circumstances, to experience the magic of the holidays, while strengthening community spirit.
Through "A suspended toy", anyone who wanted could purchase a gift in the toy shops, bookshops and stationery shops in Campobasso that took part in the initiative, leaving the gift in the custody of the shopkeeper himself. Well, once again, the people of Campobasso didn't have to be asked to dedicate a concrete and altruistic gesture aimed at the little ones. The many "suspended gifts" were thus collected by municipal workers in recent days, close to January 6, and are gradually distributed to families in difficulty and to associations that take care of the most needy, following indications from the Social Policy Sector.
“A heartfelt and special thank you – declared in unison the councilor for Productive Activities, Paola Felice, and the councilor for Social Policies, Luca Praitano – goes to the many city commercial activities that have joined the initiative with true participation and enthusiasm and, obviously, equally strong thanks must be given to our entire community who have demonstrated, if there were still any need, how heartfelt and direct the desire to help others is, supporting those who are experiencing moments of difficulty, not only economic ones."
