To give substance to their hypotheses, the Carabinieri showed up at his home near Vico Costantino to carry out a search, but by widening the operation they also extended the checks to a rural home belonging to him in C.da Corvo, where they found the decisive evidence to frame him. The man, certain that his hiding place was proof against control, tried to mislead the investigators, assuring them that he did not possess anything illicit. But the military of the Station, not to be fooled, extended the search to every corner of the property. However, when one of them approached a water reservoir located in the garden and started to open the lid, the 43-year-old suddenly changed his attitude, appearing visibly nervous.

A signal that has not gone unnoticedThe Operatives who opened the tank and immediately noticed something abnormal. Inside, in fact, there was an object that seemed out of place, something that did not belong to a normal water supply. A detail that pushed the military to investigate further, leading them to the discovery of what had actually been hidden with extreme care. Each new discovery confirmed that the hiding place had been studied in the smallest details to hide a huge quantity of drugs.
