The patrol quickly reached Via Fisichelli, finding the scooter driver, a 28 year old, on the ground of foreign origins, resident in Catania, for which the intervention of the 118 doctors was immediately requested.

The young man was taken to the care of 118, The Carabinieri then carried out surveys of the accident, to understand the dynamics and exclude the responsibility of third parties in the accident. The investigations obviously also involved the boy's scooter that, however, from the Law Enforcement Database, was to be searched for as it was stolen last September in Catania. The young man was unable to give any legitimate explanation regarding the possession of that vehicle, therefore, the military of the Arma seized the moped to stop the illegal conduct and thus return it to its rightful owner, while for the 28 year old a complaint was filed with the Judicial Authority for "receiving stolen goods".
