Riposto: Carabinieri stop escalation of domestic violence.

The intervention was triggered following the complaint by the man's mother, of serious threats and harm suffered by the son, already known to law enforcement for violent behavior, including drug use. In particular, the 31-year-old, clearly agitated, he had shown up in front of his house shortly before, demanding his deceased father's car at all costs, kept in the mother's garage. During the confrontation, the man allegedly assumed a threatening and aggressive tone, punching the hood before walking away.

The situation worsened when the young man, armed with a knife, he would have reached his mother's home again, threatening the relative and damaging a window in an attempt to gain entry, then fleeing on board a car at the sight of the Carabinieri, contacted by the lady through the 112 NUE.

Thanks to the promptness of the searches, the Carabinieri They located the vehicle near a house in Torre Archirafi, owned by a 67-year-old woman the man was seeing. From there, a complex operation began: while one team attempted verbal contact with the young man, the other soldiers they reached the back of the building looking for emergency access.

Meanwhile, from inside, the military they heard the woman's cry for help, who reported being held against her will. The officers' entry allowed them to reach the woman and detain the 31-year-old, but at that point the woman also began to attack the Carabinieri, throwing various objects from the house and even knives at them.

When the military managed to stop both of them, on the basis of the evidence collected to be verified in court, as for the 31 year old, the situation also started for her Report to the Judicial Authority for threats, injuries, resistance and violence towards a Public Official, while the man will also have to answer of attempted extortion against the mother.
