Paternò: Threatens son with knife after argument. 55-year-old stopped and reported by Carabinieri

In the afternoon of March 18st Paternal, the military of Radio-mobile nucleus of the local Company intervened promptly, denouncing to the Judicial Authority a 55 year old with no criminal record of Santa Maria di Licodia, for personal injury, threat and carrying of weapons or objects capable of causing offence.

In particular around 15pm, a 51-year-old from the place requested from the Operations Centre, theintervention of a patrol for that which, initially, it looked like a fight between ex-spouses.

The soldiers, therefore, arrived on site in a very short time, found the woman together with her 73 year old father while, not far away, his ex-husband, 55enne of Santa Maria di Licodia, appeared visibly altered.

Given his agitation, the Carabinieri immediately approached the man, interacting with determination and managing to calm him down, preventing the situation from degenerating further.

Once order was restored, the military then began investigations to reconstruct what happened.

Gathering the first information, they discovered that man, shortly before, he had shown up furious at his ex-wife's house, convinced that the 19-year-old son had hidden there to escape him.

In fact, in a rage, had started screaming death threats against the woman, shouting: “Get your son down! If he doesn't come down, I'll cut your throats, I have nothing to lose!" because he wanted her to take her son out, that he wasn't actually at home.

La man's anger would arising from an episode that occurred shortly before in via Nilo, where the 55-year-old had met his son by chance.

What would have provoked his reaction was the boy's failure to greet, played by the father as a serious lack of respect.

Since that time the situation has degenerated: the man has holding a stick and has hit his son in the leg, then threaten him with death by pulling out a switchblade from your pocket.

Il ragazzo, therefore, terrified is managed to escape and take refuge in the Carabinieri barracks in Paternò, from where he telephoned his mother about what had happened.

The investigators, certain that the man could still have the weapon used to threaten his son, then proceeded to search him.

The inspection actually confirmed the suspicions: the knife was still in his pants pocket and it was immediately seized.

The man was, of course, accompanied to the barracks, where he was reported to the Judicial Authority.
