Paternò: extraordinary control of the territory, sanctions and checks by the Carabinieri.

As part of an extraordinary control activity, prepared according to the guidelines of the Provincial Command of Catania, the commitment of the Carabinieri of the Paternò Company continues in ensuring safety in the Spirito Santo area, the heart of Paterno's youth nightlife, with targeted interventions on Via delle Rose and Via del Progresso.

The operation, conducted by the personnel of the local Station with the support of the personnel of the CIO of the 12th Sicily Regiment, had as its main objective the fight against illegal behavior and the promotion of road safety.
During the operation, the Carabinieri intensified road controls, issuing fines of over €3.500, especially for violations such as driving without a helmet, driving uninsured or uninspected vehicles.

Particular attention was paid to the use of helmets, a safety device too often neglected by young motorcyclists, with the primary objective of protecting their safety, and it is precisely for this reason that some people were caught driving the vehicle without helmets and, naturally, fined.
The extraordinary activity of territorial control led to the arrest and administrative seizure of 3 vehicles and the withdrawal of 4 driving and circulation documents.

Overall, 32 people were identified, including many young people, and 18 vehicles were checked, mainly scooters, demonstrating the constant commitment of the force to guarantee safety and legality in the most frequented areas.
