Palagonia: too many criminals in the betting center, license revoked at the request of the Carabinieri.

According to the guidelines of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Catania, issued to combat widespread illegality and protect public order, the Carabinieri of the Palagonia Station requested and obtained, from the Police Chief of Catania, the revocation of the license for a sports betting agency in that center, pursuant to art. 100 of the Consolidated Law on Public Safety (TULPS).

In particular, thanks to the constant territorial control activity carried out by the military of the Arma, it was possible to detect how the agency had become a meeting point for criminals.

In order to document this situation, the Carabinieri have therefore arranged, over the last few months, multiple services and investigations at the premises, detecting, in fact, the constant presence of individuals who have had problems with the Justice.

Having acquired all the necessary information, the investigators of the Station drew up a detailed report that was submitted to the scrutiny of the Police Commissioner of Catania who accepted the request to revoke the license, issuing the relevant provision, notified by the Carabinieri to the owner of the agency, a 46-year-old local woman.

In particular, during the numerous investigations by the local police, individuals with serious legal cases including drug dealing and trafficking, as well as illegal possession of weapons and crimes against the person as well as against property were identified inside the business and in its immediate vicinity.

Palagonia: troppi pregiudicati nel centro scommesse, revocata la licenza su richiesta dei Carabinieri.
