Mascalucia: extraordinary service of control on the territory.

As part of the extraordinary checks on the territory, ordered by the Catania Provincial Command of the Arma, the soldiers of the Mascalucia Tenancy, together with those of the Operational Nucleus of the Gravina Company and with the support of the personnel of the Operational Intervention Company CIO of the 12th "Sicilia" Regiment, under the coordination of the Operations Center, have implemented a service in order to prevent and combat widespread illegality, also by verifying compliance with the Highway Code.

The various patrols patrolled the main roads of the Municipality of Mascalucia, checking 27 vehicles and 56 people, issuing administrative fines for a total amount of over €6.500.

Among the most punished behaviors are those that can cause the most harm to all road users, including pedestrians, such as driving while talking on a cell phone, which reduces attention and too often causes accidents, even fatal ones.
The crews also seized 1 car and 4 motorcycles, because they did not have the required insurance coverage.

Finally, the checks also involved a kiosk-bar, found to be "in order", and 9 people subjected to restrictive measures who, at the time of the check, were respecting the provisions imposed on them.
