Catania: The “toupet” as a hiding place. Drug dealer couple arrested by the Carabinieri

The arrest of 2 drug dealers from Catania, 39 year old man ed a 40 year old woman years, was made possible thanks to the investigative intuition of the 2 Carabinieri of a patrol of the Radiomobile Unit of the Provincial Command of Catania which, on the basis of the evidence collected to be verified in court, have arrested for being responsible for possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of dealing.

Certain that they were hiding something, the investigators launched the search following which, in the pockets of the jacket of the 39enne, they found a plastic bag containing 17 wraps of marijuana, of quality "amnesia"and "violet” for a total weight of about 75 grams, as well as the sum of 260 € and a pack of mannitol, a substance used to “cut” the pure cocaine to be divided into doses.

Similarly, the search inside the woman's bag, allowed the Carabinieri to track down 1 dose of crack.

Meanwhile, the 31enne, answering the Carabinieri's questions, admitted without hesitation that he had actually approached the car to buy drugs from the two.

At that point, the Radiomobile soldiers, joined by another reinforcement crew, ordered the two to board the gazelle to be taken to the barracks.

However, as the man was getting into the back seat, he inadvertently hit his head against the car's pillar, causing a slight shifting of his “toupet”.

A seemingly insignificant detail, if it weren't for the fact that from the movement of the wig a plastic bag suddenly appeared, an element that, obviously, did not escape the watchful eyes of the Carabinieri, who immediately investigated the discovery further.

Under the wig, in fact, the man had well 9 doses of cocaine, ready for retail sale.
