The incessant territorial control action of the Carabinieri of the Operational Nucleus of the Catania Fontanarossa Company, following the directives of the Provincial Command of Catania, has led to the arrest in flagrante of two Catanians aged 53 and 49, both with criminal records, responsible for "possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of trafficking".
Specifically, the military personnel of the Arma conducted a targeted investigative activity in Librino neighborhood, a real satellite city located in the southern outskirts of the city, where they discovered that, in an apartment on Viale Moncada, the two men had organized a drug minimarket, Complete with video surveillance device.
Therefore, in order to ascertain the exact methods of carrying out the illegal activity, the Carabinieri stationed themselves nearby in order to be able to observe the pushers' movements "from a distance and in a discreet manner", thus verifying how numerous young people, after having gone to that building and rung the intercom, went up to the apartment on the fifth floor and, after a few minutes, came out cautiously, before quickly walking away.
To verify their investigative hypotheses, therefore, the Carabinieri they organized the blitz and, in the evening, while several buyers were queuing to access the drug store, two soldiers not in uniform got confused with each other, thus entering the apartment.
Inside, the Carabinieri first saw the monitor with images of well 8 video surveillance cameras through which the pushers "filtered" the customers, in the hope of preventing a possible attempt of access by the Police and then, in the next room, they spotted the 49-year-old busy packaging doses of cocaine, crack and hashish and the 51-year-old who collected the money from the sales.
At that point the investigators identified themselves as Carabinieri, blocking and arresting the 2 pushers. Searching them and the entire house, the investigators found, on the table where the 49-year-old was working, more than 100 grams of cocaine in stone, 36 grams of hashish, a vacuum machine e other material used for packaging drugs.
But it was in the kitchen that the two drug dealers had "set" the table with the display of products, divided by weight, quality and different price. In particular, with regard to the cocaine, have been recovered 7 doses of 0,5 grams each, 5 doses of 0,75 grams with the price indicated at €20 each, and 3 doses of 0,70 grams for €30.
The 2 packs of 0,85 grams, instead, they came sold at €40 while, those from 0,9 grams at €50, For a total of more than 11 grams total, which would have yielded €320.
A similar differentiation had been made for the crack, with minimum doses from 0,4 grams at a price of €15 up to those from 0,8 grams at €50, and the Carabinieri have recovered 15 doses, For a total of almost 10 grams. The hashish, instead it was in doses of 1,5 grams each , marijuana had been packaged in 2,5 gram sachets. In addition to the drugs, investigators recovered €560, collection of sales made up to that point.
Drugs and money have been kidnapped, while the two drug dealers were arrested and placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority which validated their arrest, ordering the precautionary measure of arrest.
