In execution of the specific guidelines given by the Mayor Trantino and the Porto Councilor to combat illegal commercial activity the Municipal Police, together with the Carabinieri of Piazza Dante, carried out repressive action against illegal fruit and vegetable and orange juice operators, results without administrative and health authorization for the handling of food on site.
They are 16 reports of offenses and administrative charges were issued against them also for absence of authorization to occupy public land in the main streets of the historic centre, for an amount total of 29 thousand euros, with application of the accessory sanction of seizure of goods, equipment and sales aids.
- unauthorized persons also sanctioned for failure to comply with the sales bans for holders of itinerant licence in the historic center, as well as the distances imposed by historical markets, they were located in Via Fragalà, Via Etnea, Piazza Stesicoro, Villa Bellini entrance and Piazza Mazzini.
