Following a call received by 112, the Single Emergency Number, the Carabinieri of the Biancavilla Station they intervened at the premises Emergency room, where aassault on healthcare personnel on duty.
In particular, the presence of a womens which, managed to access in the pediatrics department, he was attacking a female doctor on duty, threatening her, offending her.
And in those very tense moments, not even the intervention of a security guard and a nurse, who immediately rushed to help and take the doctor to safety, had managed to calm the lady; the latter, in fact, was not satisfied, She had followed the three operators to the emergency room, first throwing at them everything she could get her hands on, then hitting the security guard with a glass vase and slapping the pediatrician.
Only the arrival of the patrol, which arrived in a matter of minutes, had finally averted much worse consequences; the military personnel of the force had in fact managed to calm the spirits of the agitated woman, a 26 year old from Adrano, thus allowing doctors to provide first aid to the unfortunate victims.
The Carabinieri, having blocked and secured the woman, then began to listen to witnesses to reconstruct the incident and understand the reason for that attack. In this way the investigations allowed them to ascertain that the young mother of two had recently received a notification with which she had been informed of the start of checks to verify his parental suitability.
Convinced that these checks were the result of a medical examination performed by the pediatrician on behalf of her children, the 26-year-old had therefore carried out her own retaliation, reaching the professional at her workplace, where she had threatened and beaten her, also involving in her anger all those who had intervened to support the doctor.
The 26-year-old was arrested on the basis of the evidence collected to be verified in court, for personal injury to a Public Official, to healthcare personnel and damage, and by order of the Judicial Authority, which validated the provision, submitted to the house arrest with electronic device control.
