Aci Catena: Drug Dealer Throws Drugs From Balcony, 19-Year-Old Arrested

As part of the intensification of activities aimed above all at the prevention and repression of drug-related crimes, the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Unit of the Acireale Company, in Aci Catena, with a rapid and effective intervention They arrested a 19-year-old local man red-handed for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.

In particular, the attention of the crew of the “Radiomobile”, during one of the numerous patrols of the territory, had been attracted by the strange behaviour of a 19enne of Aci Catena which, strangely, he was driving his scooter with such a cautious attitude that, since he was already known to the military due to his previous judicial vicissitudes regarding drugs, the latter, in an absolutely discreet manner, decided to follow him from a distance to monitor his moves.

The Carabinieri's intuition would soon bear fruit because, in fact, that young man would soon head towards via Sant'Elena and Costantino, precisely inside a condominium where a peer of his lives who, like him, similarly has a number of previous convictions for drug dealing.

At that moment, the latter, looking out from the balcony of his house, spotted the Carabinieri car and, with a sudden move, he threw a large envelope from the balcony which was however immediately recovered by a Carabiniere, while his colleagues, with similar diligence, quickly entered the apartment.
In that envelope the Carabinieri therefore found over half a kilogram of marijuana and a precision scale, therefore, at the end of theimmediate search carried out in the apartment, the sum of 45,00 € placed on a table in the 19-year-old's bedroom.

But it didn't end there because the Carabinieri also proceeded to check his scooter, a Piaggio Beverly, which, in fact, had an envelope hidden under the seat with 46 doses of marijuana already packaged for retail sale, as well as two other plastic bags containing further quantities of the same narcotic substance, for a total weight of 800 grams.

The young man was then taken to the county jail. of Catania Piazza Lanza at the disposal of the Judicial Authority which, having validated his arrest, also issued a precautionary order following which he remains in prison.
