On yesterday's day, On September 18, 2025, in Via Calliope/Fondo Romeo, surveillance cameras captured a person abandoning numerous tires. Informed by the Head of the Environmental Section, Commissioner Antonio Lizzio, Commander Diego Peruga, Deputy Commander Stefano Blasco, and the magistrate on duty immediately agreed to initiate Judicial Police procedures and investigations. The investigations led to theidentification of a 48-year-old man, owner of a tire repair business with headquarters in the vicinity of the place of the crime.
The local police personnel, in civilian clothes and with an unmarked car, carried out an inspection at the offender's business, ascertaining that the same was registered with the Chamber of Commerce but lacked the Certified Notification of Commencement of Activity (SCIA).
For these reasons The man was fined €5.167 and the business was banned. simultaneously, Pursuant to Law 689/81, the administrative seizure of all equipment used for the illegal operation was ordered.
The vehicle used to dump the tires was also seized. and taken to the Command offices, where the legal proceedings were completed. The man was reported to the Judicial Authority pursuant to the new Legislative Decree 116/2020, which amended Article 255 of Legislative Decree 152/2006, with theapplication of the additional sanctions of vehicle seizure and driving licence withdrawal.
Despite the efforts of the Municipal Administration, with the Mayor and the competent Councillor on the front line to ensure order, cleanliness and urban decorum, uncivilized behaviors that damage the environment persist. The Administration reiterates that no illegal activity will be tolerated and that inspections will continue relentlessly to protect the area and the health of citizens.
