Teverola: garage used as a workshop discovered with stolen cars, counterfeit license plates, sheet metal stencils showing chassis numbers and keys to open car doors.

The Carabinieri of the Trentola Ducenta Station, thanks to the signal sent by the satellite anti-theft system, found, in one of the side streets of via San Lorenzo di Teverola, a RAV 4 car reported stolen. The car, at the time of the discovery, was parked on the sidewalk with counterfeit license plates.

Considering that dead-end street an ideal place to park stolen cars, the Carabinieri of the aforementioned Station decided to return there on the evening of November 13 to check whether other stolen cars had been parked there.

As they entered the road, the patrol noticed a Peugeot 3008 car exiting from a garage located there, with two people on board, a 59-year-old from Villa di Briano and a 51-year-old from Villa Literno, known to them for previous convictions for receiving stolen goods and money laundering.

Stopped and searched, they were found in possession of an envelope containing 5 sheet metal stencils bearing chassis numbers, two screwdrivers, two remote controls for electronic gates and 9 non-shaped keys used for emergency opening of vehicles.

During the search, the carabinieri also found a bunch of keys which they later confirmed opened the very garage from which the Peugeot 3008 had been seen exiting shortly before.

Once inside that garage (about 200 square meters) the carabinieri found three Toyota RAV 4 parked, which turned out to be stolen, as well as a LEXUS and a Fiat Panda of dubious origin and on which the appropriate checks are underway. In addition, several Italian and foreign license plates were found and seized.

The 59-year-old and the 51-year-old were then reported for money laundering.
