A very strong smell of marijuana had been reported that was spreading in one of the streets of the municipality of Sant'Arpino, a small town in the province of Caserta. The smell was immediately detected, in the early afternoon of yesterday, also by the Carabinieri of the Operational Section of the Marcianise Company who, together with the soldiers of the local station, intervened at the reported location where they immediately identified the apartment from which the pungent aroma of the narcotic was coming.

After knocking on the door they found themselves faced with a twenty-eight-year-old who, with a sleepy expression, initially denied having marijuana in the house. After a while, however, realizing that she had no way out, she confessed that she was growing the offending plants on the balcony of her house.

In fact, during the search, a professional greenhouse equipped with a ventilation system and lamps was found, in plain sight in a corner of the balcony, closed by a veranda, inside which there were various drying inflorescences. Further narcotic substance was then found in the man's bedroom, placed on a sheet of paper and ready to be packaged and stored inside a jar present there.

The marijuana found, for a total of 44 grams, the greenhouse and the cultivation material were seized.

The twenty-eight year old, who will have to answer for detention for the purposes of drug dealing, was accompanied to the district house of Santa Maria Capua Vetere (CE), at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
