San Nicola la Strada: Caught at Home with Numerous Doses of Hashish, Convict Arrested by Carabinieri.

The report of drug dealing in progress on via Luigi Vanvitelli in San Nicola la Strada, forwarded by a citizen through the emergency number “112”, allowed the Carabinieri of the Operations Section of the Caserta Company to proceed with the arrest of a 47-year-old Israeli.

Upon their arrival at the reported address, the soldiers immediately noticed a strange coming and going of people coming from one of the apartments in the building where, after having requested the support of uniformed personnel, arrived from the local station, they proceeded to access for the necessary checks.

The one who opened the door was the 47-year-old, already known to the police, illegal in the national territory and burdened by numerous precedents for crimes against the person, property and related to drugs.

Having initially noticed that there were only civilian personnel present, whom he did not recognize, he asked them what they needed but, after realizing that their colleagues in uniform had already arrived behind them, he immediately appeared nervous and intolerant of the check.

Following the personal and home search, the military found, on the kitchen table, some pieces of hashish and a knife soaked in the same substance. Hidden inside the lining of the cushion of one of the chairs placed around the table, instead, were found additional pieces of hashish, ready to be packaged, a 10 euro banknote and a smartphone.

The drugs found, useful for packaging approximately 50 doses, together with the knife, the smartphone and the money, were seized.

After the formal procedures, the 47-year-old was arrested and taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
