San Nicola La Strada: he was driving his Lancia Y at high speed, stopped by the Carabinieri and arrested.

A 38-year-old resident of Recale (CE) and domiciled in San Nicola La Strada was stopped by the Carabinieri because, while driving a Lancia Y, coming from Largo Rotonda, he entered, at high speed, via XX Settembre in the Municipality of San Nicola.

The man, from the very beginning, showed intolerance to the control. His agitated and nervous attitude induced the carabinieri to carry out a personal and vehicle search following which, inside a bag placed on the passenger seat of the car, the soldiers found and seized a cellophane bag containing 8,80 grams of Hashish and the cash sum of € 805,00.

The search was then extended to the man's home where, inside the bathroom, placed on a cabinet, a block of Hashish weighing 50,6 grams was found, two kitchen knives with residues of the same narcotic substance as well as packaging material.

The man was arrested and placed under house arrest.
