During an inspection they have two non-EU citizens arrested, a 32-year-old Gambian and a 24-year-old Senegalese, caught selling drugs.

The arrest took place yesterday, February 7. The Carabinieri of Caserta noticed a man sitting on a bench who was approached by two non-EU citizens. Shortly after speaking to each other, one of the two foreigners walked away and then returned to deliver drugs to the other, who sold them to a 53-year-old Italian man sitting on a bench, receiving money in exchange. It was at that moment that the Carabinieri intervened. Thebuyer, immediately blocked, he had on him 4 cartons of hashish pre-packaged in transparent cellophane, weighing approximately 8 grams.

The two non-EU citizens, who fled when the Carabinieri arrived, were chased and stopped. During their escape, the 32 year old Gambian he got rid of 3 cartons of hashish of a total weight of about 5 grams, throwing them into a hedge. On the other, the carabinieri found and 220 euros in cash seized.

The arrested were transferred to the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere. The buyer, instead, was reported to the Prefect of Caserta.
