Castel Volturno, anti-drug operation: Mafia drug dealing ring dismantled in the "Royal Residence." Eleven precautionary measures executed.

The criminal network, inspired by the Scampia–Secondigliano model, allegedly transformed the residential complex into a 24-hour operations base protected by lookouts, weapons, and video surveillance.

The Carabinieri of Territorial Department of Mondragone, on the day of December 10, 2025, they executed two precautionary custody orders in prison issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples and by the GIP of the Juvenile Court, against 11 Guests, among which two minors at the time of the events, held responsible for association aimed at drug trafficking, aggravated by the mafia method and by 'use of firearms, as well as numerous episodes of drug dealing.

The investigation, coordinated by District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Naples, has reconstructed what is outlined as a structured drug dealing square, rooted in the residential complex “Royal Residence” of Castel Volturno, locality Villaggio Coppola Pineta Mare, where they reside dozens of families forced to live under the control of the criminal group.

According to what has emerged, the network would have replicated the operational dynamics of the drug dealing centers of Scampia–Secondigliano, area of ​​origin of the suspects: lookouts at high altitude, taking advantage of the 10 plans of the palace; roadblocks and restricted routesinternal video surveillance system; constant garrison of the Hall, the nerve center of 24-hour activity.

The goal was control the condominium in a military manner, maintaining a continuous flow of sales and preventing access by law enforcement.

A fire: the act of intimidation that revealed the system

Investigative activities began in second half of the 2023, after theapartment fire overall, immediately interpreted as a intimidating act to silence the residents.

From there, investigators outlined the presence of the group, composed of subjects criminals from Secondigliano, who would have received a "authorization" from elements close to the Casalesi clan, Bidognetti faction, historically rooted in the territory.

Violent incidents, weapons, intimidation: the lives of residents under siege

The judicial provision reconstructs a series of emblematic episodes of the mafia methodology used by the group:

  • beatings ordered by developers to punish buyers and condominium owners;

  • fire to the detriment of the administrator and residents;

  • il injury to a Polish citizen, shot in the legs with a modified clandestine pistol;

  • a general climate of subjugation and silence, imposed through threats, violence and armed presence.
