Casaluce (Caserta), they produced cheese in dirty premises: an illegal dairy seized

The soldiers belonging to the Unit Marcianise Forestry Carabinieri, collaborated by veterinary doctors of the ASL of Caserta, in during an inspection at a sheep and goat farm with a stable in Casaluce (Caserta), made up of over 500 heads of livestock including sheep, lambs and goats, authorized by the ASL for the sole exclusive production of meat, they found several dirty buckets of milk in the immediate vicinity presumably used to store the milk coming from the milking of lactating animals.

The soldiers then went to the buildings located in the immediate vicinity, noticing a trickle of whitish substance percolating from one of them from which also came a strong odor of dairy substances. We then proceeded to inspect the room and found a blue container containing approximately 30 liters of milk, cheese maturing tables, scales, plastic baskets (fuscelle) for cheese making, cabinet containing various equipment and aromas, gas cooker for boiling milk, polystyrene containers for packaging dairy products, a refrigerator containing approximately 4 kg of cheese of various shapes and sizes and the rennet, as well as a diary was found showing the orders for cheese intended for subsequent marketing.

The investigation made it possible to ascertain that the liquid waste consisting of whey and washing wastewater of equipment from cheese production they were disposed of illegally by pouring them into a drain connected to the public sewer system.

The aforementioned soldiers then proceeded with the judicial seizure of the abusive dairyvo for the crime of illicit management of liquid waste, as well as due to hygienic-sanitary deficiencies as the premises are not authorized for this purpose.

They were referred, in competition with each other, in a state of freedom, both the owner of the sheep and goat farm who supplied milk to the dairy as he was not authorized to produce milk and the manager of the illegal dairy.
