The soldiers of the Caserta Forestry while traveling along the Provincial Road n. 4, in the direction of the hamlet of Sant'Angelo in Formis di Capua (CE), near the “Annibale” Bridge, noticed a dense column of dark-colored smoke rising.

A patrol of soldiers on duty at the Carabinieri Forestry Station of Caserta, during a territorial control service aimed at preventing and repressing fish poaching along the left bank of the Volturno river, while traveling along Provincial Road n. 4, in the direction of the hamlet of Sant'Angelo in Formis di Capua (CE), near the “Annibale” Bridge, noticed a dense column of dark-colored smoke rising.
The aforementioned soldiers immediately went to the point of onset of the dark cloud, and more precisely near a private property, in the rear part of a house, where they found a pile of plant residues set on fire together with a tire disused car, equipped with an iron rim, the combustion of which released thick, dark smoke which also aroused concern among local citizens.
The military took action to quickly put out the waste fire.
The investigations made it possible to trace the person responsible for the aforementioned illicit conduct who was reported for the crime of illicit combustion of waste.
