Bellona: 18-year-old threatened by peers and forced to hand over 1500 euros, says enough and calls the Carabinieri.

The three very young people, two of whom were minors, who were stopped by the Carabinieri of the Vitulazio Station, were identified and reported at large for extortion in competition with an 18-year-old from Bellona, ​​in the Caserta area.

The immediate investigations, started following the complaint formalized by the victim at the Carabinieri Station of Vitulazio a few days ago, allowed the military of the Arma to reconstruct the illicit conduct carried out, in collaboration, by three boys from the province of Caserta who, from October 2023 to November 22, with verbal threats and intimidating acts, on several occasions and for specious reasons, allegedly made the 18-year-old hand over cash in small installments, for a total of approximately 1.500,00 euros.

The victim, on November 22nd, called the emergency number "112" to ask the police for help as soon as the extortionists, in a threatening and violent manner, showed up at her home to collect a further instalment of 250,00 euros, allegedly linked to the payment for a pair of shoes borrowed two years earlier and never returned.

The three, just as they were about to pocket the money, were surprised by the carabinieri who immediately stopped them and took them to the barracks.

Further investigations, also carried out thanks to the extrapolation of conversations present in the chats of a well-known social application installed on the mobile devices in their use, have allowed the Carabinieri to reconstruct and crystallize this latest extortion attempt as well.
