Trentola Ducenta: They transport stolen car parts and try to escape the Carabinieri's stop, arrested

The two people, a 36-year-old from Casaluce and a 45-year-old from Casoria, were transporting stolen car parts and, without stopping at the carabinieri's checkpoint, attempted to escape by reversing, crashing into a parked car and damaging it. For several days now, the Carabinieri of the Trentola Ducenta Station, following the discovery of some carcasses of stolen vehicles in an area adjacent to the local cemetery, had activated services aimed at combating thefts and receiving stolen car parts.

During the performance of these services, the patrol of the Station, upon noticing a Fiat Ducato van, escorted by a Fiat Panda, entering the Via Campania, which leads to the local cemetery, decided to proceed to check the occupants. Once reached, while the driver of the Fiat Panda, with a sudden maneuver, managed to escape, the driver of the van, with another person on board, first pretended to stop, pulling over to the edge of the road, and, once the officers got out of the car to carry out the check, he then put the car into reverse and drove backwards at high speed. Despite being repeatedly ordered to stop, the driver continued to reverse until he first hit the fence of a house and then ended up crashing into a parked car, thus being blocked.

At the moment, the passenger jumped out of the moving vehicle and continued to escape on foot., was reached and stopped after a few hundred meters by other members of the Carabinieri. Inside the van, the carabinieri found a carcass, cut into two parts, of a recently stolen car, as well as the front and rear seats, a tank with flammable liquid and remaining plastic pieces of vehicles. The two, both with specific precedents, were placed under house arrest.
