Santa Maria a Vico (Caserta), Carabinieri discover drug dealing “in house”. 45-year-old arrested

The 45-year-old arrested in the afternoon was caught inside his home in possession of a vast assortment of narcotics cleverly hidden inside containers for flu medicines, ready to be sold.

Cocaine, heroin, crack and hashish were found by the military during the personal and house searches carried out late yesterday afternoon at one of the homes on Via dei Martiri del 1799 in Santa Maria Vico, in the Caserta area.

The constant coming and going of people from the apartment used by the 45-year-old local, already known to the police for the commission of crimes against the person and related to drugs, aroused the suspicions of the Carabinieri of the local Station who, with the help of personnel in civilian clothes, belonging to the Operations Section of the Maddaloni Company, carried out a targeted anti-drug operation shortly after 18.00 pm.

The door and front door left wide open as if it were a real commercial establishment did not make it difficult for the soldiers to gain access, who upon their arrival found only the 45-year-old at home.

Having immediately appeared particularly nervous and intolerant to the control, he was searched and found in possession of a container for flu drugs hidden in his trousers pocket, which was found to contain 11 individually packaged doses of cocaine and two sealed plastic containers containing numerous doses of heroin. 200,00 euros in cash divided into small denomination banknotes were found in the wallet.

The subsequent house search allowed the discovery, hidden on the part of a grandfather clock located in the dining room, of a transparent bag containing 12 doses of crack and a precision scale, while inside the bedroom, placed on a desk, another container of aspirin was found containing 7 doses of hashish, a precision scale and various material for packaging the drug.

All the doses found, the cash and the material for cutting and packaging the individual doses were subjected to criminal seizure.

After the formal procedures, the arrested person was placed under house arrest, at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
