San Marcellino: They produced marijuana “in house”, two individuals arrested and hundreds of plants, drugs and bullets seized

The anti-drug blitz by the Carabinieri of the Trentola Ducenta Station, which took place on the evening of Friday 21 March 2025, at two homes in the small town of San Marcellino, in the Caserta area, led to the arrest for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing, of two people, one of whom was also found in possession of 18 blocks of hashish and 22 illegally held 7.65 cal. bullets.

It is a 34-year-old, already known to the police, and a 26-year-old, both of Albanian origin and resident in San Marcellino, who had built actual greenhouses for growing marijuana in their respective homes.

When the military of the Arma broke in in the first apartment, apparently uninhabited, were hit by the strong and unmistakable pungent smell of marijuana. In fact, In the two bedrooms present they found two artificial greenhouses where 169 Indian hemp plants had been grown in pots, already in bloom, with an average height of one meter and ten. Both rooms were equipped with heating yellow light lighting systems, ventilation systems and two air conditioners, all powered by an electrical system with a timer system, temperature and humidity detector.

In one of the other rooms, 18 blocks of hashish were found, for a total weight of 1,756 kilograms, three plastic bags containing 900 grams of marijuana, 22 pistol bullets, caliber 7,65, a precision scale, two micro-cameras that filmed inside the house and various bottles of fertilizers.

The simultaneous search carried out by a second patrol from the Trentola Ducenta station at the home used by the 26-year-old, allowed the discovery of two other rooms used as artificial greenhouses with 152 Indian hemp plants inside, grown in plastic pots. Here too the sophisticated lighting, ventilation and heating system ensured the full flowering of the shrubs.

All the material found, the marijuana plants and the narcotic were subjected to criminal seizure.

After the formal procedures, both Albanian citizens were taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison.
