Calabria: The region for the first time at Sigep in Rimini
Calabria on display for the first time at Sigep in Rimini, the show dedicated to ice cream, pastry, bakery, artisanal coffee and pizza, scheduled from 18 to 22 January. Among the over 1.300 exhibiting companies, coming from 33 countries and hosted in 30 pavilions, there will be a large delegation from Calabria, with the best of quality craftsmanship dedicated to ice cream and the art of desserts. Arsac will take care of the organizational details of the trip, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture
“Together with my colleague Rosario Varì, delegate for Economic Development – he comments the regional councillor for Agriculture, Gianluca Gallo - we decided to create an institutional stand to host Calabrian producers active in the pastry, ice cream, bakery and pizzeria sectors. Professionals with great talents and abilities, who in recent years have wisely cultivated the ambition of quality and who it is right to support institutionally by helping to build a network between them, so that Calabria is not only attractive with its landscapes and its territories, but also through these artisans of undisputed value".
In particular, Calabria's participation will be distinguished by its attention to the values of excellent craftsmanship. The offer will include ice creams made with local ingredients, such as bergamot and dried figs, symbols of Calabrian biodiversity, and traditional sweets reinterpreted with innovative techniques. Among the flagship products are also artisanal ice creams made with Calabrian citrus fruits, famous for their unique fragrance; revisited typical sweets, like sweet chocolate 'nduja; quality ingredients, such as honey, almonds and artisanal liqueurs, used in recipes.
