San Candido: Driving under the influence of narcotics. State Police reports Croatian citizen and seizes marijuana
The Agents of State Police in service at the San Candido Police Station, during the daily operational activities aimed at ensuring the control of the territory and the prevention and repression of crimes, in the evening of 6 February, have proceeded to sanction a Croatian nationality driver since he was found driving a motor vehicle under theeffect of narcotic substances.
Specifically, along the Highway 49, near the border with Austria, Agents of the “Flying Squad” of the Public Safety Police Station of San Candido they proceeded to check a car that was heading towards the town "swaying” from one side to the other, thus creating a clear and concrete danger for other road users.
During the check, it was found that the driver of the car was Croatian citizen, who from the very beginning appeared to be clearly under theeffect of narcotic substances.
From the next one cockpit inspection, therefore, they were found and 3 grams of marijuana seized, detainees, precisely, for personal use.
At the end of the proceedings of Judicial Police, the man was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office for the crime of driving under the influence of narcotics and administratively reported as drug user.
The Police Chief of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori, in light of what happened, issued the Measure against him Personal Prevention of the Mandatory Exit Notice with a ban on returning to the municipality of San Candido for the next 3 years.
"Anyone who drives after having taken drugs represents a danger not only to themselves, but also and above all to other motorists and to all other people who, in various capacities, find themselves operating on the road. - underlined the Police Commissioner Sartori .
For this reason, prevention and the fight against this type of infringement represents one of the priorities for the Police Forces, committed daily to guaranteeing the safety of citizens.".
