Merano: State Police arrest a Tunisian citizen for stalking.

The State Police of Merano arrested a 37 year old Tunisian citizen, resident in the city but actually domiciled in the Lana/Foiana area, in execution of a detention order issued on November 19, 2025 by the Judicial Authority.

The man, who holds a residence permit for family reasons which is currently suspended, had already been convicted for threats, stalking e dealing of narcotic substances.

He had been untraceable for some time, which is why the State Police Commissioner of Merano started an investigation targeted investigation and observation activity which allowed him to be traced on November 25, 2025.

The officers proceeded to notify the restoration of the order of execution of the sentence, equal to nine months and twenty-six days of imprisonment, and to the completion of the procedural procedures, including the notification of proceedings that remained suspended during his unavailability.

At the end of the procedures, the 37-year-old was translated at the Bolzano prison.
